Melbourne Yarra Trams Β· 3D Simulator
W/β apply traction. S/β brake to a stop and hold. Hold R or the REVERSE button to back up; the brake always overrides reverse. The tram is rail-guided β it steers itself. Slow for curves or the wheels will sing.
Press A or the AUTO toolbar button to let the driver computer run the route, serve stops, open and close the doors and depart. Any manual throttle, brake or reverse input takes control straight back.
Each stop has a glowing platform marker. Roll in below 2 km/h inside the zone, then press O or the Doors toolbar button to release the doors. Passenger boarding, Myki beeps and the stop announcement follow. Press O again to close the doors before departing.
B rings the iconic double-ding. It is legally required to be delightful.
Melbourne-style chimes and spoken announcements call the next stop, announce the current stop as the doors open, and warn that doors are closing. They use the browser's en-AU voice and also appear as subtitles. Mute silences both sound and speech.
V switches between the chase camera and a first-person driver's cab. Drag the scene to look around; the view eases back to the road when you let go. In rain the wipers run.
Press G or the toolbar button. Drive the car into the painted hook turn box on the far-left corner, wait for the tram to clear, then complete the right turn across the tracks. Collisions end the attempt.
Switch between Classic Melbourne Sun, Four Seasons in One Day (sudden rain and lightning) and Twilight Yarra River Glow at any time.
